Pilot Mountain State Park seeking Volunteers

PILOT MOUNTAIN STATE PARK IS SEEKING VOLUNTEERS TO SERVE AS CAMPGROUND HOST for 2016.

Volunteering as a Campground Host is an opportunity to become involved in the management of a NC State Park area. Campground hosts will be allowed to stay in the campground and use the park’s facilities free of charge, full RV hookups are provided. Hosts are asked to serve for at least one month.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Register family campers, which involves filling out a permit and collecting payment.
  • Provide information on the park and rules to campers.
  • Clean campsites by removing grill ashes and blowing off driveways as needed. 
  • Be present in the campground between closing and opening hours for camper assistance, except for days off.
