Park Closures? Contact Perdue and State Reps!

Governor Perdue's budget proposes closing State Parks two days a week.

Please consider contacting her and your legislators asking them to consider the impact. Closing State Parks is damaging to area businesses that employ local residents and contribute to the overall state budget through sales and taxes. Also, every dollar generated by State Parks through usage fees goes directly to the state budget. Closing for two days a week would impact their revenue generation. Help our elected officials grasp that attempting to cut money in one area impact many other avenues that DO generate money for the State. Please let your voice be heard.

Several of you have shared letters to the editor you have written as well as letters to your representatives. They have been very encouraging! As we are seeing all over the world, letting your voice be heard DOES make a difference.
